This year’s event will feature COBU (taiko drumming + hip hop + tap dancing!), contemporary festival dance by KOGYOKU YOSAKOI, as well as 28 students from PS16 performing a famous Japanese children’s song “Akatombo” with Japanese sign language.
We’ll have a certified ASL interpreter and will be streamed via YouTube, Facebook and Instagram.
It will take place at the City Hall Plaza, right in front of the main entrance. This celebration is one of many year-round “Flag Raising” events that Jersey City’s Cultural Affairs office organizes for everyone to enjoy!
