Japanese Cultural League of Jersey City (JCLJC) is a community group formed in 2021 by local Japanese professionals working in the fields of arts, culture and entertainment.
We thrive on enhancing the synergy between the local individuals/establishments related to anything Japanese as well as promoting the multicultural exchanges at the grassroots level.
Cultural exchanges can touch each other’s hearts, and we can carry that with us for better understanding of different backgrounds. We believe that cherishing that personal experiences in our daily life is more important than ever for the harmonious society, especially in the era that ideological differences can easily stand in our way through stereo-types and misguided informations.
Japanese Cultural League of Jersey City (JCLJC）は、音楽、ファインアート、舞台芸術、映像、食、ファッションなど様々な分野で活躍するジャージーシティ在住の日本人の有志により、２０２１年９月に立ち上げられました。
日本をゆかりとする個人や文化団体等の交流と発展、また文化芸術活動を通じて国際社会における相互理解の促進に貢献することを目的としています。
イデオロギーの違いによって世の中が分断されつつある今日、我々は人と人とをつなぐ文化芸術の重要性を真摯に考えます。年間を通し、日本文化を伝えるイベントやミートアップなど、草の根レベルでの活動を中心に活動しています。
